In June 2005 Bill Moffat and his brand new inexperienced Want crew set off on
a road trip with a mission to change the action sports world. With a brand new
truck and a trailer packed to the brim with Want energy, they were determined
to make an impact on the action sports culture. This new action sports drink
was designed for just the place they were headed. The first destination for the
crew was Halliburton's Rock
the Wake; this was Want's first product launch. After a very successful
and rowdy weekend things just took off and climbed up hill from there. Bill built
Want from the ground up, touring all over Ontario to every action sports event
there is with his Want crew. Rain or shine, sun or snow the Want crew was there
ready to go, with their drinks in hand. The guys offer free samples and stickers
to all who dared to try the newest thing to hit the action sports world.

Bill is the owner and founder of Want and has been involved in the
action sports industry for the better part of 20 years. As a kid
Bill was raised on snowboarding and BMX and the man still shreds
to this day. He created Want in the total image of action sports.
Every part of Want is involved with the culture; Want even donates
15 cents of every bottle sold to the development of new actions sports
facilities (new bike trails, new skate parks etc.). Want supports
athletes from all corners of the action sports world everything from
wake skating to snowboarding. It is the universal drink in action
sports. The Want family started small but it has grown huge to include
athletes from snowboarding, wake boarding, wake skating, downhill
mountain biking and skateboarding.
Want is the ultimate example of the action sports culture through
its caring and sharing attitude that gives back to the community.
Want has gotten where it is through some excellent marketing
(although not always conventional) and the all around help
from its family, friends, its athletes, demo crew, employees
and the rest of the people that where there to aid. |
